The Sri Lanka Apple Watta 700 Housing Units Project held ground-breaking ceremony on Nov 4, which was undertaken by China Railway 25th Bureau Group. The construction work is being carried out with the financial assistance of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
These houses will be provided to needy families living in low-income settlements in accordance with the Vision of Prosperity policy statement.
The project will build 700 Housing Units at Apple Watta accommodated in 16-storied building consisting of 500 sqft floor area housing units. Each housing unit includes two bedrooms, living area, kitchen, dining area, balcony, toilet and bathroom with a separation.
These houses are to be constructed and handed over to the public within 2 1/2 years.
