Recently, the West Wing of the Cambodian Ministry of Defense office building constructed by China Railway Urban Construction Group was officially handed over and put into use.

At the ceremony, the local traditional blessing and prayer activities in Cambodia were first held. Under Samdech Pichey Sena TEA BANH, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Cambodia, the emblem of the Ministry of National Defense was hung on the top of the building, which means that the new office building of the Ministry of National Defense has officially started. The event was presided over by Samdech Pichey Sena TEA BANH and The leaders such as H.E  VONG PISEN Commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Force, Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chairman of the Ministry of National Defense Construction Committee H.E CHAY SAING YUN  attended the ceremony.

After the event, Samdech Pichey Sena TEA BANH visited the office building of the Ministry of National Defense in all aspects from interior decoration to exterior. He spoke highly of the construction level of Chinese enterprises, said that the office buildings are well-equipped, intelligent and modern, and of excellent quality. He thanked the Chinese government and enterprises for their strong support for the development of Cambodia, and hoped that China-Cambodia cooperation will be further deepened and strengthened in the future.

The Ministry of National Defense office building project is located in the Ministry of National Defense compound on Russi Avenue in Phnom Penh. The building scale is about 30,000 square meters and the building height is 30 meters. The main functions include offices, conferences, restaurants and public auxiliary facilities.

1st Floor Hall of the East Wing

Since the project commenced in June 2018, China Railway Urban Construction Group has established an excellent project management team to overcome difficulties such as construction period pressure and epidemic prevention and control. In the process, they took fine management as the starting point, and under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, they paid close attention to progress and process control to ensure that the project was safe and orderly and controllable; implemented phased and batch construction, rationally deployed manpower and material resources, and ensured the continuity of construction.It has realized the smooth completion of key millstones, and finally realized the project's completion and acceptance on schedule, and put it into use. The project adopts the form of recruiting local workers, grouped by different types of work and equipped with Chinese supervisors, which not only reduces labor costs, but also provides employment opportunities for local people. It is  praised well by the local government and people. Have received many inspections, guidance, observations and investigations from leaders at all levels.
