CRCC Drives Full-Speed Progress on Key Projects
Date: 2025-03-31

Currently, CRCC is anchoring the high-quality development goal, persistently forging quality engineering, and striving to promote the construction of key projects.

Builders are conducting segment assembly operations at the world's longest undersea high-speed railway tunnel - the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway's Jingtang undersea tunnel. After the project's completion, travel time between Ningbo and Zhoushan will be reduced to 26 minutes, helping the Zhoushan Islands integrate into the national high-speed railway network.

Qinglongmen Bridge, the world's largest span three-tower steel box girder cable-stayed bridge, was participated in by CRCC and is about to complete the lifting operation of the lower crossbeams of the three main towers. As a key project of the Liuheng Highway Bridge Phase II, upon completion, it will strengthen the land and sea passage to the core islands of Ningbo's southern Zhoushan wing, promoting port area and port-related industrial development.

Currently, the Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway project is vigorously advancing continuous beam construction operations. The section CRCC undertakes is 32.55 kilometers long, with main construction already 80% complete and expected to be operational by 2027. As an important part of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network, it will promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and Yangtze River Delta integration upon completion.

The Xiong'an–Shangqiu high-speed railway project department has completed the installation of all 865 box girders, officially entering the ballastless track construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the entire line's on-schedule operation. It is expected to be operational by 2026, further improving the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei rail transit network and is significant in promoting economic and social development along the line.

Recently, the pile foundation construction of theChengbi River Bridge on the Huangtong-Baise Railway has passed the halfway point. The construction of the bridge's substructure is being vigorously carried out. The Chengbi River Reservoir, crossed by the bridge, is a national first-class drinking water source and a winter habitat for the national protected wild animal, the Chinese Merganser. The project adopts ecological protection and intelligent monitoring technologies to ensure water source safety. Upon completion, it will enhance the land-sea interactive capacity between Southwest China and the "Belt and Road" initiative, better serving the new era of Western Development.

Undertaken by CCECC, the Magufuli Bridge project in Tanzania is located on the southern shore of Africa's largest lake, Victoria Lake. It has a total length of 4.66 kilometers, four lanes in both directions, and a designed speed of 120 km/h. The bridge is expected to be completed and operational by April 2025. As a landmark project of China-Africa Belt and Road cooperation and a key national project of Tanzania, the Magufuli Bridge will strengthen interconnectivity between Tanzania and neighboring countries, promoting regional economic development upon completion.
