Baoji-Lanzhou High-speed Railway Constructed and Designed by China Railway Construction Corporation Limited Opened

July 9, 2017 8:16 AM, Baoji-Lanzhou High-speed Railway, designed by China Railway First Survey & Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. of CRCC, officially opened and slowly pulled out of the station along with Langzhou-Xuzhou No. G2028 train. China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 16th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 17th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 19th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 20th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 21st Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 25th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and other units participated in the construction.

Starting from Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, Baoji-Lanzhou High-speed Railway passes through Tianshui City, Qin’an County, Tongwei County, Dingxi City to Lanzhou City of Gansu Province. It has a total length of 401 km, 92.5% of which is spanned by bridge and tunnel. There are 8 stations for the railway, which are Baoji South Railway Station, Tianshui South Railway Station, Qin’an Railway Station, Tongwei Railway Station, Dingxi North Railway Station, Lanzhou West Railway Station and so on. The operational speed is 250 Km per hour. The project was commenced at the end of 2012 and segmental joint debugging and integration test began in March 2017. After its opening, time of travel from Lanzhou to Baoji will be shortened to about 2 hours from 7 hours.
